  1. Welcome to HTML Handler!

  3. System Requirements:

  5. VB40032.DLL in your \WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory.  It's not included, 
  6. but its probably already on your hardrive, and if not, its 
  7. available from literally millions of BBS's and Online services
  8.  
  9. Basic Windows Requirements. (Maybe slightly a bit more RAM; I don't
  10. quite know. After all, this is a free program! :-) If there are any 
  11. bugs, please contact me at the addresses below)

  13. To see what your actual HTML will look like, you will need a WWW
  14. browser, such as Netscape or Internet Explorer.   (not required)

  16. Installation:

  18. The file (hthnd4032.zip) includes the files:
  19.  
  20. handler.exe  - HTML Handler application
  21. setup.exe - Setup file
  22. handler.hlp  - The HTML Handler help file, inlcudes tutorials...
  23. comctl32.ocx, comdlg32.ocx, olepro32.dll, msvcrt40.dll, regocx32.exe
  24.  - Data files needed by HTML Handler
  25. handler.ini -  Initialization and settings file for HTML Handler
  26. readme.txt   - This text file
  27. tutorial.html - An example file you can open with HTML Handler, and also 
  28. view with your browser!

  30. 1. Unzip all the files into any directory.
  31. 2. Move OCX files in to your /Windows/System directory
  32. 3. Run setup.exe
  33. 4. Run handler.exe
  34.  
  35. From then on, you only need to run handler.exe
  36.

  39. A.  HTML Handler is an application that assists in the making of HTML files,
  40. for use with the World Wide Web.

  43. A.  Yes, it is intuitive and easy to use

  45. Q.  Is there help on what to do?
  46. A.  Yes, the included help file (handler.hlp) includes a tutorial.  You
  47. can access it from the HTML Handler, or from Windows Help

  49. Q.  What browsers let me see what the final product will look like?
  50. A.  Netscape, Mosiac, AOL, Prodigy, and most other browsers will work.  
  51. To view your page, goto the "File" menu, and select "Open".  
  52. Then, find your file, and view it!  To try, view the example file 
  53. included with the program (tutorial.html)

  61. HTML Handler is freeware.  Please distribute it freely!
  62. HTML Handler was written in two days using Visual Basic 3.0.  The 
  63. engine was then greatly enhanced in to what you see before you. It was
  64. then overhauled in Visual Basic 4.0 to give you this 32 bit application!
